Stratcom is a marketing consulting firm specializing in brand strategies and positioning for companies supporting their selling efforts through marketing communications such as advertising, interactive marketing (direct response or Internet communications), collateral/design, sales promotions, and /or public relations.
Without bias toward any communications discipline, Stratcom develops objective-driven, budget-based strategies and marketing communications plans to help its clients select and apportion funding for the tactical implementation of the strategy.
The founder and president of Stratcom, Ted Jursek, began his marketing career at Prentice-Hall Publishing Company where he employed his graduate skills in consumer behavior and product development to launch best selling books in marketing, business management, organizational development, and strategic long range planning. After twelve years in New York publishing, Ted returned to Boston to manage a $25M advertising agency and the nation's 50th largest public relations firm. Another twelve years later, Stratcom was formed.
Stratcom targets emerging businesses or companies with $500K to $2M communications budgets which choose to employ marketing communications services on a contingency, rather than full-time basis.
Stratcom operates as a single shareholder corporation and subcontracts senior level professionals to execute tactics (conceptual creative ideas, writing, design, etc.) in all disciplines of marketing communications (advertising, public relations, design etc.).

"Ted Jursek has been a factor in the growth and development of BURST! Media since the beginning. Ted introduced brand discipline to the company giving it a critical set of decision-making tools that helped it remain focused - and survive - through the turbulent boom and bust and (sometime again, hopefully) boom cycle of the early Internet. Ted is passionate about brands and brand strategy, but he recognizes that brands live in the real world and are buffeted by countless competing influences. His contribution has been helping us understand the connection between a strong brand and results, but, always, with an emphasis on results. Thus, Ted enjoys the confidence and respect of people at different levels of our organization and across different boundaries. That's important, because strong brands - and results - are the responsibility of everyone in the organization."
